Now is a great time to refresh your home. Curb Appeal5/5/2020
Whether this is your forever home or you are looking to sell, now is a great time to refresh your home. The first thing anyone notices about a home is it's curb appeal. What do you think when you drive up to your home? Does it say Welcome Home? Does it put a smile on your face? Is it inviting? If you answered no to any of these questions, it's time to add some curb appeal. Use your neighbors as inspiration. What do you like or dislike about their front yards/entrances?
One of the easiest ways to add curb appeal is to add a pop of color. Depending on your front entrance, color may come in different options. If you have chairs or a front porch swing, add a colorful pillow. Another option is to frame your front door with colorful plants in containers. If you have flower beds, adding colorful annuals can enhance your curb appeal.
Another way to enhance your curb appeal, is to paint your front door. If the color is fading, it may be time to paint. Homes with dark doors have tended to sell for more.
Pressure washing your exterior, can help revive your outside. Depending on your budget and the type of exterior you have, painting the exterior may also add curb appeal.
Trimming bushes, thinning out foilage, and weeding are cost efficient ways to enhance curb appeal.
Whatever you decide to do, keep it simple. The best question to always ask when evaluating your home...Does is make me smile?
